Project Storm Eye
In Firefly’s “Shine Freely Together” initiative, APW discovered the ideal canvas for expressing electric-era aesthetics. Firefly’s idea of shining freely and APW’s spirit of exploration merged to form the “Eye of the Storm” — a refined balance born from the collision of two powerful forces.
Design Inspiration
When the rally-style design meets the estate car-inspired aesthetics, it is like two powerful air currents that form an exquisite dynamic balance upon collision. Firefly adheres to its unique modification inspiration, integrating dynamism and tranquility. The main body color of the vehicle is Storm Gold, paying tribute to rally culture and the glorious golden age of motorsports. The racing white rims reveal the forged metallic gray tone inside; moreover, the 6-spoke wheels, specially extended and designed for the Firefly Trio, are paired with the black stripes running from the hood to the rear of the car, further enhancing the visual tension of the vehicle's performance.
Performance
Under the "Fast & Wild" performance philosophy, they have jointly created a highly dynamic exterior in the Hellaflush stance style. The lead designer is a contracted driver of Team Pegasus (Xingsu Racing Team), who has further integrated insights from the championship team’s racing chassis into the tuning of the mechanical components. By retrofitting high-performance competitive coilovers, APW has lowered the vehicle’s ride height to the specifications of a typical rally car, complemented by the rugged profile of rally AT tires. In terms of aerodynamics, the lightweight carbon fiber components work in synergy to achieve a high-level handling performance that combines agility and stability.
Interior Space
The encounter between the pure white interior and the golden exterior comes as another surprise, allowing one to further appreciate the exquisite beauty of collision and balance. The golden steering wheel centering mark and the golden seatbelts throughout the vehicle serve as striking finishing touches. The entire roof is covered with black Alcantara, and the white-black color contrast, accentuated by gold details, fully embodies a sporty yet premium texture.
